18 Volt Hitachi Hammer Drill Review: Reliable For Everyday Use

I use a lot of different tools on a day to day basis but I have to say that my trusty old drill is my favorite. I use an 18 volt Hitachi hammer drill pretty much every day.
I bought it from a pawn shop at a very good price of $35 bucks for 2 batteries, the drill, and the charger.
I haven't had a single problem with it yet and I'm hard on it.
I'm currently flipping a house that needs tons of work and almost every job in here calls for a drill so it gets put to use. The best part about it I would have to say is the battery life.
I used Dewalt before Hitachi and I get about 30 extra minutes of use out of my Hitachi hammer drill. And that's for everything I use it on like screwing, drilling holes, drilling door knob holes all the way up to mixing texture mud. I use it for a lot. I would say it was well worth the money.
I would buy it any day of the week new for around $175. So I think I got a really good deal on it.
As for the cons, well there really are none. The battery life is great, the power is great, it even has a built in flash light!
But if I had to say something bad about my Hitachi 18V hammer drill, I would say the weight. It feels like a good 10 pounds. I don't mind because I'm a pretty big guy, but for a small guy or maybe a woman it could be a problem with a long use time.
All in all I would rate it about a 9.5 out of 10.
